She is coauthor of Stop Where the Parking Lot's Full, a collection of writings about South Carolina's most beloved restaurants. She recently won second place in the 2010 Green Eyeshade Awards (feature writing, non-daily print category).

The antique stores in Camden. The peach and pecan groves on The Ridge in South Carolina, between Gilbert and Edgefield. La Cantina restaurant in Clarks Hill in McCormick County. Skinny Dip Falls off the Blue Ridge Parkway is groovy, too.

Also, Old Sheldon Ruins near Beaufort - and the Carolina/Clemson football game when it's in Columbia. Also, a stroll along the Battery in spring in Charleston, a pontoon boat ride on Lake Lure, a hot peppermint patty at Goatfeathers in Five Points before Christmas shopping, listening to Skipp Pearson play "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" on saxophone at Hunter-Gatherer on Thursday nights during the holidays.

MY DREAM VACATION: Around the world with no deadlines on a variety of transport - camels, luxury trains, boats going through narrow canals in England, sailing down the Nile, poking around Venice, visiting the grottos off Greece and Italy - bet you wish you hadn't asked…
